GENERAL NEWS:

Attention HERD Students.  Getting to class on time is one way students can show Honor, Effort, Respect and Determination.  To help all students get to class on time EGHS staff has come up with the following:

  • Students more than 10 minutes late to first period must report to the cafeteria and will have to meet with an administrator before going to class 1st period
  • Students that are late to any period may be given a Tier 1 after school detention for the following day.  Detention is from 3:30 to 4:00 in the small café
  • Please get to class on time, random tardy sweeps will be conducted beginning this week.

Friendly reminders from the Administration:

  • We have a closed campus.  Students are not permitted to leave campus during the day without a leave of grounds pass.  It also means that students are not permitted to receive items dropped off at the school unless they are dropped off at the Welcome Center, it’s important to note that the Welcome Center is unable to accept any food, money or personal items of value such as cell phones.  We understand that many of the restrictions are inconvenient.  Please do not have food or other items delivered to you via any perimeter gate.
  • Elk Grove High School remains under a mandate for all students and staff to wear masks indoors.  Please wear your mask covering the nose and mouth.  Students that forget their mask, may get one from the office or a teacher at any time.

EGHS Administration would also like to remind students of the following rules/expectations for football games:

  • No backpacks will be allowed.
  • Attendees are expected to sit in the stands and watch the game.
  • Middle school students should be accompanied by an adult, and have their student i.d.
  • There will be no in and out allowed at the stadium.

Students, please bring a Health Pass from your teachers to the Health Office. This ensures that you are not marked late or absent by your teachers.
