After winning their 16th straight Delta League Championship, the men’s team competed at the section dual championships on Saturday. Your Thundering Herd grapplers dismantled Lodi, and a tough Del Oro team to advance to the Section Finals where they lost to Vacaville for the second year in a row. Congratulations to your Elk Grove Thundering Herd wrestlers for another runner up finish. Next it is on to the league championships where they begin their quest for a state championship qualification.

The Thundering Herd Ladies team began their individual post season at the North Section Regionals this weekend. The lady herd finished second as a team and had 3 champions in Miranda DiBennedetto, Audrey Elgaricdo, and Sienna Lejeunne. Also advancing to the next round of post season by placing at regionals were Karly Scott, Esmerelda Arroyo, and Mykhala Bagler. Next up is the Section Championships where Audrey, Esmeralda, Karly, and Mykhala look to earn a return trip to the state championships and Miranda and Sienna try to earn their first trip and first state medals.
