GENERAL NEWS:
The spring musical Chicago will take place at 6 p.m. March 27th, 28th, 29th and April 4th, 5th & 6th in the little theater on campus. Tickets are on sale in the Student Store and all tickets are $10 other than Friday April 5th as it is student night and any student presenting an ID will get half price tickets for $5. Tickets must be purchased for day of attendance of performance. Contact Ms. Germano or Mr. Sebastian for more information.

Mathletes can now buy their Mathletes T-shirt in the Student Store.
  Please buy your T-shirt today.

Summer school forms will be available tomorrow in the Counseling Office and the Front Office.

Last Friday, Elk Grove FFA had six students competed in the Regional Speaking contest. Sophie Albiani was 1st, Bella Albiani was 2nd and Sam Albiani was 3rd high individuals in the Creed Speaking Contest. All three will go to Anaheim in April to compete at the State Level. Congratulations!

Interested in being part of The Elk Yearbook Staff for the 2019/2020 school year? Stop by the Student Store or see Ms. Escobar in P-5 for an application - they're due next Friday, March 29th!


CLUB NEWS:
The Sign Language Club is still looking for new club members, meetings are held on Thursdays at lunch in room C-14. Contact Ms. Morrow in P-14 about questions.

Do you care about the future of the planet? Please join like-minded students Thursday, March 28 at lunch in P-11 as we work to form a campus environmental club. Please see Ms. Lee with any questions.

Today men’s volleyball is home against Davis, JV baseball is home against St. Mary’s, frosh baseball is away at St. Mary’s and men’s tennis is home against Sheldon.

Tomorrow softball is home against Sheldon and frosh baseball is home against Jesuit.

EGHS Local Scholarships are now available! These scholarships are awarded to Elk Grove High School seniors only. Come to the Career Center for more information and applications. The deadline to submit your application is April 5th. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity!

Senior Ball tickets are on sale for $45 with an ASB card and $50 without. Couples tickets are $80 with ASB and $90 without ASB.

Guest passes for Senior Ball are due tomorrow, March 22. Forms are available in room C2, the Front Office, and the Student Store.

Stop by counseling and let Mrs. Marchman or Mrs. Sommers know what your plans are after high school – college of choice, branch of military whatever it is – and we will put you up on the Wall of Fame in the counseling office.

Congratulations to Elk Grove High TDA Photographers:  Lily Hur, Joey Reynaga, Vivian Kan, Riley Blookworth and Kaleigh Kwong! They are the winners of the District Superintendents’ Art Contest in the Digital Photo and Black and White Photo categories! Great job!

Elk Grove High School, get ready for this year’s Multicultural Assembly: Herd Proud. Tomorrow Wednesday, March 20, Periods 2 and 3 in the Cartwright. Thank you for following the seating instructions when you arrive, so we can get the show started.

The California Math League Contest will be Tuesday, March 19th in room C-8 from 3:30p.m. - 4p.m.

The Universal Studios trip from Friday 3/15 to Sunday 3/17 still has 6 available seats! Get your permission slips from the office and pay at lunch. Don’t miss your chance to go on this trip!

The Multicultural Assembly is coming March 20th! Performers, please report to the Cartwright gym today and next Monday and Tuesday at lunch for rehearsals. Ms. Lee

The next Mathletics competition will be at Franklin High School on Pi Day, March 14th.
  Students who wish to compete must sign up with Mr. McNally in room C-8 by Tuesday, March 12th.

The California Math League Contest will be Tuesday, March 19th in room C-8 from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

TDA Senior Mentors and sophomores going on the Downtown Sac field trip: The Pre-Trip meeting is tomorrow at lunch in A9. This is mandatory. See you there!
