Starting now for ALL grade 7-12 students                                                    August 12, 2020

Beginning today, secondary students will be forced to change their password to a unique password that the student chooses when a new account is created or when the password is reset using the bulk reset tool in the Portal. This change is being made to ensure that students are using unique passwords that are not easily guessed by other students. The formula based password you’re used to, will now only be a temporary password.

From now on, students must go to the Classlink Portal page and change their password. Students will sign on with their student ID and formula based temporary password. They will then be prompted to enter a new, unique password. Students will need to reset their password before logging on to StudentVUE.

This does not affect current EGUSD students that have not had their password reset.

7th Grade Students
This change was already put into place when students advanced from 6th to 7th grade.

Formula for Temporary Passwords
Capitalized First Letter of the Student First Name + Last four of Student ID + Two-digit Birthday + a lowercase letter “a”

Student Name: Jaylen Smith
Student ID: 99678543
Student Birthday: February 01, 2007

Temporary Password: J854301a

Student Instructions
We have put together a website that includes instructions for secondary students on how to change their passwords. We ask that you encourage students to review the instructions or watch the video found at this website before changing their password.

Senior Awards

Unfortunately, we were not able to celebrate our Class of 2020 students' accomplishments like we usually do. However, we wanted to honor their effort the best we could. Click the following links to view some of the incredible accomplishments of the Class of 2020.

  • Top Ten Awards--These awards are earned by ten Elk Grove High School seniors who have the highest GPA.
  • Senior Awards--Special thanks to Ms. Mooney and all of the clerical staff who had the difficult task of organizing all of our Academic Award winners, Club honorees, and scholarship recipients for Senior Awards. Thank you also to Mr. Sebastian who added the accompanying music selections. Congrats to all Senior Award winners!
  • Senior Best Awards--Each year, EGHS staff nominates seniors for Senior Best Awards. There are 10 total categories that the staff votes on from Citizenship to All Around Students for the graduating class. We are proud of these Seniors because it is a special thing to be acknowledged and honored by our staff in this manner.

Underclassmen, these seniors have set the bar for future Herd seniors. It is up to you to carry the tradition of excellence.

Honor. Effort. Respect. Determination.
